Pines Drop-in

Posted on

The next Pines drop-in is "Responding Positively to a child with an Additional Support Need", where we welcome Angela Stewart from the Promoting Positive Relationships team to talk to parents & carers.

Come along to the Pines, Drummond Rd, Inverness on Thursday, 2nd Feb from 10-12 noon or alternatively on Tuesday, 7th Feb from 6-7.30pm. No need to book.

Secondly as some of you will be aware there has been some press coverage about the Diagnostic process for Autism in Highland. So NHS Highland is undertaking a big piece of improvement work on children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs. Part of this work includes looking at improving the service for children undergoing assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Gavin Hookway and Murdina Campbell from NHS Highland’s Quality Improvement Team would like to meet up with parents after the training session at The Pines on Thursday 2nd Feb 2017 from 12:30 for an hour to hear parents’ experience of the current process, and get ideas from them on how this service can be improved. We would like parents with all types of experiences to come along.

A light lunch will be provided and therefor we would appreciate you letting Karen know if you will be attending. Please get in touch via karen.kelbie@chipplus.org.uk or phoning 01463 711189.
