Young People Advisory Group

Posted on

Highland Children's Forum's are pleased to let everyone know about their first Young People's Advisory Group meeting.

The Advisory Group will be leading the new direction Highland Children's Forum wishes to take in creating a voice for young people with additional support needs across the Highlands in order to speak out about their rights and on issues affecting them.

They are currently looking at which children and young people do not have an opportunity to speak out and be heard; they think this gap may be in primary age young people and children and young people with more complex communication, developmental or communication support needs.

They hope to link in with other groups representing the voices of young people around single issues so they can work all together and, led by young people themselves, made a difference to the lives of children and young people in the Highlands.

Please get in touch if you would like to connect, share your views, involve young people you work alongside or generally get excited about working together!!
